Soil Type survey

The underlying soil type affects everything on farm. Some fruit trees won't grow in certain soils, lighter soils increase the likelihood of a drought, and heavier soils can get boggy in the winter
Different soil types will grow varying amounts of grass, effecting the number of stock that can be sustained
Soil type affects the amount of nutrients that can be held by the soil, which impacts both plant growth and animal health
Our soil type survey determines which soil types are present on the property and in what locations.
At Stress Free Farming we take soil cores from specified locations on the property to build a map of soil types, this is presented to you in a report with key information on each soil type and how best to manage it

Environmental Sustainability Planning

We can advise on fencing and planting of waterways, sustainable nutrient management through fertiliser or alternatives, when to apply inputs to have the lowest environmental impacts, along with may other environmental options
We can input your data into Overseer to generate nutrient budgets to determine the nutrient loss and greenhouse gas emissions on your property, as well as advise ways to decrease these impacts
For those with larger lifestyle blocks or farms, we are able to generate farm environment plans
